Frequently Asked Questions

The Basics
Yes. I am a fully registered CIMSPA Practitioner (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity). This means I do not just hold a certificate; I adhere to the UK’s highest standards for professional conduct and safety. It also means I am fully insured and committed to ongoing professional development.
I provide three main pathways: 1-to-1 Personal Training for total focus on your goals; 2-to-1 Group Training if you want to train with a partner; and Online Consultation & Programming for those who want a bespoke plan to follow independently. All sessions are 60 minutes of technique-led, progressive strength work.
Not at all. Starting with a coach is one of the best ways to build confidence under the bar safely. Whether you are a total beginner or a regular lifter, the programming is built around your current ability and pace.
Most 1-to-1 and 2-to-1 sessions take place at My Fit Pod, Kingston. It’s a private space that allows us to focus on your training without the distractions of a crowded commercial gym.
All Payments will be made by bank transfer and have to be paid before any training takes place. I can also take contactless payments on site. All payments will be provided with an email receipt.
Strength is a journey, not a sprint. You’ll often feel stronger within the first few weeks as your technique improves, but meaningful physical changes usually take 8–12 weeks of consistent effort. This is why my packages have a 90-day expiry—to keep you committed to the process.
The Fine Print, Made Easy
I require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If notice is given under 24 hours, the session fee is forfeited. If I ever have to cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you get that session back plus an extra one on the house.
If you’re late, we will still train, but the session ends at the original scheduled time so I can stay on track for the next client. If I am ever more than 10 minutes late, I’ll credit you a free extra session.
Your safety is my priority. We’ll complete a PAR-Q health screening before we start. You must disclose any injuries or conditions so I can adapt movements. I am a coach, not a doctor—if a condition is complex, I may ask for a GP “all-clear” before we proceed.
Sessions and packages are non-refundable. If a documented medical issue permanently prevents you from training, I will offer a refund for unused sessions.
I provide nutritional guidance and habit-based coaching to support training. I do not prescribe medical meal plans, diagnose injuries, or provide medical advice. For clinical issues, I will refer you to a qualified Dietician or Physiotherapist.
The Personal Touch
Gym intimidation is real. That’s why I train at a private facility like My Fit Pod, Kingston. It’s just us and the iron—no audiences, no ego. I’m here to ensure you feel secure, capable, and respected every time you step through the door.
Some days you’ll feel great; other days you’ll be stressed or tired. We auto-regulate—pull back intensity and focus on mobility, technique, or a lighter session. My zero-tolerance policy applies to abusive behaviour, not to being human.
We can communicate via WhatsApp or email for scheduling and quick questions. For online coaching clients, we have scheduled check-ins to review progress and form videos.
